Our Vision

We envision a world where people from every language community can access Scripture—and the means to study and engage it—through reliable Bible study resources they can understand and trust.

"And he said to them, 'Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'"

Mark 16:15 (English Standard Version)

Problems We Address

Barriers to meaningful Bible study across languages

In many parts of the world, Scripture is available, yet the gap between Scripture access and Scripture engagement remains wide—especially outside of English and a small number of widely supported languages.

This gap often persists not because of a lack of translation effort, but because the resources required to license, integrate, localize, and sustain study tools are complex and underfunded.

  • Bible study tools that are unavailable, incomplete, or difficult to use in many languages
  • Digital study platforms architected primarily for English-speaking users
  • Licensing and technical integration requirements that slow or prevent the inclusion of additional translations
  • Chronic underfunding of the localization, quality assurance, and maintenance work required to sustain study tools

These barriers affect pastors, missionaries, educators, and lay readers seeking to study and teach Scripture in their own language.

Our Approach

Focused support with clear purpose

Word For All addresses these challenges by focusing on the technical and localization work required to enable deep Scripture engagement across languages.

  • Preparing and integrating trusted Bible translations into modern digital study environments
  • Localizing interfaces and core study features for specific language communities
  • Ensuring accuracy, usability, and faithful presentation of Scripture through quality assurance

Our role is to work downstream from Bible translation efforts—enabling access to study and engagement tools without replacing Bible translation organizations, theological institutions, or ministry partners.

In many ministry contexts, affordability—not language alone—limits access to effective Bible study. In addition to localization and integration work, Word For All helps extend access for pastors, missionaries, and under-resourced communities where cost would otherwise prevent meaningful Scripture engagement, while operating in accordance with donor intent and charitable oversight.

Enabling Scripture Engagement Across Languages

Word For All supports global missions by helping remove practical language and usability barriers that limit meaningful engagement with Scripture and Bible study resources.

Church and mission leaders are called to teach, disciple, and shepherd from Scripture in their own language. Deep engagement with God’s Word supports:

  • Faithful sermon preparation and biblical teaching
  • Careful analysis and comparison of translations and texts
  • Clear interpretation and responsible application of Scripture
  • Bible study that strengthens discipleship within local communities

When these capabilities are available in a leader’s working language, pastors, missionaries, and educators are better equipped to minister with clarity, confidence, and depth. As leaders are strengthened, the communities they serve are strengthened as well.

Our role is to complement—rather than replace—the work of Bible translation organizations by helping ensure that existing translations can be studied, taught, and used effectively within real ministry contexts.

Leadership

Word For All operates with a commitment to responsible stewardship, charitable oversight, and the faithful handling of Scripture, in accordance with donor intent and established nonprofit governance.
